# Infinium workflow how to prepare bleach solution (sodium hypochlorite)

This article reviews how to prepare a bleach solution (sodium hypochlorite) for cleaning Infinium glass back plates and laboratory surfaces and instruments.

[Infinium Assay Best Practices / Daily and Weekly Bleaching](https://support-docs.illumina.com/ARR/InfLabSetup/Content/ARR/SetupandProcedures/BestPractices.htm?Highlight=bleach) recommends to use 10% bleach for cleaning Infinium glass back plates and laboratory surfaces and instruments.

* Bleach is a 5.25% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) solution

**To make 10% bleach solution:**

* Add for example 100 ml of bleach (5.25% sodium hypochlorite ) to 900 ml DI H2O and mix thoroughly.
