# Troubleshooting Illumina Service Connector not connected for Window computer

The platform GUI provides a utility called a Service Connector to sync data between the platform's cloud-hosted data store and a user's local machine, which can be user's computer or server.

This Connector runs in the background, and configuration is done in the Illumina Connected Analytics (ICA) platform, where user can add upload and download rules to meet the requirements of the current project and any new projects user may create.

Often time the Illumina Service Connector might show as Not connected on ICA Connectivity

If that happens, follow the step below to restart the Service Connector from Window computer

From Window Computer > Window search > Search for " Services" > Search for "Illumina Service Connector".

Make sure it is running. If it is not running, right click and Start:

Once the Service Connector, the connector should show as connected on ICA
