Background
BaseSpace Sequencing Hub leverages several global data centers for regional data storage and processing. The MiSeq i100 Control Software will contact BaseSpace Ground Control to get a list of available regions and use this to populate the Hosting Location dropdown menu in the Cloud Settings page.
If there are issues with connecting to Ground Control, the Control Software will be unable to populate the Hosting Location dropdown menu and will present a Internal Server error message at the top of the Cloud Settings menu.
Please note that User Interface (UI) does not load properly when this error presents and the checkboxes will all appear to be de-selected, though this might not reflect the current Cloud Settings configuration status.
To resolve this issue, please see the following Troubleshooting Actions. If further assistance is required, contact Illumina Tech Support.
Troubleshooting Actions
Review the Control Computer Firewall section of the Networking and Security guide.
Contact your local IT team and request that the URLs under the appropriate Regional Endpoints and MiSeq i100 Series are added to your network security allow list.
Once this is complete, navigate to the Cloud Settings menu in the MiSeq i100 Control Software.
Confirm that the Hosting Location dropdown menu is now populated and then select the appropriate regional Hosting Location.
Is using a private Enterprise domain, input the private domain name in the free text field.
Select Test Configuration and confirm that all required URLs are accessible.
Ensure that the checkbox next to Send instrument performance data to Illumina is selected to enable Proactive support.
Ensure that the appropriate checkboxes under Run Settings are selected to enable Cloud Run Monitoring or Cloud Run Storage.
Select Save.
