How to navigate the MiSeq Self Service Resources tool

This overview provides details on the navigation of the MiSeq Self-Service Resources tool available on the Illumina website. The booklet (Figure 1) is interactive for general use, simple troubleshooting, and as a reference to additional resources.

One of the options is to navigate to the different sections from the menu at the top of the booklet page. For example, select Section 1: MiSeq general use (Figure 2) to navigate to a dropdown list offering the options of Preparing for a run, Setting up a run, or Instrument maintenance.

The menu at the top of the booklet page also extends with Section 3: Additional Resources, Search, Feedback, and Share (Figure 3).

The hamburger menu (Figure 4) in the bottom-left corner of the booklet page also enables selection of Contents, Single Page View, Share, Search, and Cookies.

Use Search (Figure 5) to quickly find a specific topic from either the menu (Figure 3) or hamburger menu (Figure 4) of the booklet page.

To navigate through the booklet, select the arrows on either side of the publication, the arrows in the bar at the bottom of the page, or the right/left or up/down arrows on your keyboard. Also, scroll the contents with ease (Figure 6) by selecting Contents from the menu bar at the top of the booklet page or Contents from the hamburger menu in the lower left. Throughout the guide, you’ll find features that allow you to participate in activities or watch videos related to the content.

To share the MiSeq Self-Help Resources, select Share in the menu toolbar at the top of the page and email the booklet to a colleague (Figure 7).

To share one or more pages on social media, select Share from the hamburger menu at the bottom left, select the pages to share and the particular social medium to share it on (Figure 8).
