# How to enable Wi Fi on the iSeq 100

The iSeq 100 has integrated wireless networking hardware. By default, the Wi-Fi adapter is disabled because a wired connection is recommended for the most reliable data transfer. The Wi-Fi can be enabled using the following steps. Updating to enable wireless connection requires admin privileges. Please ensure customer is logged in as sbsadmin or an account with admin privileges and not SBSuser.

**Note**: Wireless connectivity is intended for internet access and post-run data transfer. It is not recommend to select an output folder via wireless connection.

1. From the iSeq Control Software, click or tap on Menu on the top left and select **System Settings**
