# Troubleshooting "Primary Analysis Not Ready" errors during Pre run Checks on MiSeq

Users may encounter an error during pre-run checks showing that "Primary Analysis is not ready." This message prevents the user from starting the next run.

This error occurs when primary analysis from the previous run is not complete. The default time to allow primary analysis to complete is one hour, and a countdown will appear on the screen. Users may also select **Terminate Primary Analysis** in order to begin the subsequent run without waiting for primary analysis to complete for the previous run. Selecting **Terminate Primary Analysis** also results in secondary analysis stopping for any incomplete cycles.
