# Air Filter replacement on the iSeq 100

The Air Filter on the iSeq 100 is a single-use foam piece that covers the two fans on the back of the instrument; it ensures proper cooling and prevents debris from entering the system. The Air Filter must be replaced every 6 months. The instrument generates a pop-up notification indicating it is time to change the Air Filter. The instrument ships with one installed and one spare. Keep the Air Filter in its package until use.

If the instrument is under an active Illumina service contract, Illumina Technical Support (TS) can provide an iSeq 100 Spare Air Filter as needed. When the instrument is not under warranty, replacements are user-supplied.

iSeq 100 Spare Air Filter catalog number for ordering: **20023928.**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.illumina.com/instrumentation/iseq-100/instrumentation-iseq-100-reference_material-list/000001882.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
