Users may encounter the following error at the end of a sequencing run on the MiniSeq:
Exception generated from IxCmd Illumina.Spark.EmbeddedCommandSet.ix_rfid_tag_set : RFID block can not be written (due to lock status)
This error message may be generated during the final cycle of a run. It does not represent an issue with sequencing performance or quality, and is typically indicative of a communication error onboard the instrument.
To proceed, acknowledge the error and power cycle the instrument as follows:
From home screen, select Manage Instrument.
Select Shutdown Options.
Select Shut Down.
Wait 1-2 minutes before turning on instrument with button on front left of instrument.
Wait for the Windows Operating System and MiniSeq Control Software to fully initialize.
Users may confirm that their run completed by navigating to their output folder and confirming the presence of the "CopyComplete.txt" flag file.
If this file is not present after power cycling and does not appear after 10 minutes, contact Illumina Technical Support for further assistance.
