Important note: With the end of CentOS 7 support by RedHat as of June 30th, 2024, no further OS updates will be available. Illumina will continue to provide OS Security patches for CentOS 7 until the transition to Oracle 8 OS is complete. To find the released patches and instructions on how to apply them, please visit the page.
Background
Install Linux CentOS operating system (OS) updates on the NextSeq 1000/2000 via the Graphical User Interface (GUI). If using the terminal to install updates, contact for instructions.
Install updates using the Graphical User Interface (GUI)
If the NextSeq 1000/2000 Control Software is open, select the dropdown menu in the top-left corner, then select Exit Application.
If logged into the Linux Operating System (OS) as ilmnuser
, select the dropdown menu in the top-right corner, select ilmnuser, then select Log Out.
Log into the Linux OS as ilmnadmin
.
Select Applications in the top-left corner.
Under System Tools, select Software Updates.
A list displays any available updates that can correct errors, eliminate security vulnerability, or provide new features.
Select Install Updates.
