Background
Install Linux CentOS operating system (OS) updates on the NextSeq 1000/2000 via the Graphical User Interface (GUI). If using the terminal to install updates, contact Illumina Technical Support for instructions.
Install updates using the Graphical User Interface (GUI)
If the NextSeq 1000/2000 Control Software is open, select the dropdown menu in the top-left corner, then select Exit Application.
If logged into the Linux Operating System (OS) as ilmnuser, select the dropdown menu in the top-right corner, select ilmnuser, then select Log Out.
Log into the Linux OS as ilmnadmin.
Select Applications in the top-left corner.
Under System Tools, select Software Updates.
A list displays any available updates that can correct errors, eliminate security vulnerability, or provide new features.
Select Install Updates.
