# What are the available run setup modes for iSeq 100?

Two run setup modes are available on the iSeq 100: Local Run Manager (LRM) mode and Manual mode. To select your intended mode, do the following:

1. Open the iSeq Control Software.
2. In the software menu, select System Settings.
3. In the Settings tab, select Set Up Manually.
4. Proceed through the prompts until you are prompted to select either Use Local Run Manager or Use Manual Mode.
5. Continue through the prompts and save your selections.

The details and benefits of each of the modes are provided below.

**LRM Mode**

* Create a run in LRM.
* LRM generates FASTQ and any other analysis workflow-related files.
* Able to upload to BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH).

**Manual Mode**

* Set up a run in the Control Software.
  * If uploading to BSSH, a sample sheet is required.
