# How to enable/disable Illumina Proactive on the MiniSeq

Proactive is an optional tool that enables remote troubleshooting for Illumina Technical Support, streamlining data transfer and decreasing the time to resolution for instrument or run issues. Enable Proactive through the MiniSeq Control Software, as detailed below.

**Windows 7**: \* From the menu on the Home Screen, select System Configurations.

* Select Analysis Configuration.
* Select Send Instrument Performance Data to Illumina from the BaseSpace tab.

To disable Proactive, de-select **Send Instrument Performance Data to Illumina** in the same tab.

**Windows 10**:

* From the menu on the Home Screen, select Manage Instrument.
* Select System Customization.
* Select Send Instrument Performance Data to Illumina.

To disable Proactive, de-select **Send Instrument Performance Data to Illumina** in the same tab.
