Troubleshooting "RunCopyService executable does not exist" error in MiniSeq Control Software 1.3.1

Users running MiniSeq Control Software Version 1.3.1 may see a message that the RunCopyService executable does not exist. This occurs if RunCopyService was not successfully installed with the Control Software.

Troubleshooting steps:

  • Navigate to C:\Illumina\RunCopyService\

  • Verify that RunCopyService.exe exists in this location.

    • If the .exe file does not exist, reinstall RunCopyService through the MiniSeq System Suite Installer, available on the Illumina MiniSeq Support Page.

    • If the .exe file does exist, power cycle the instrument and re-initialize the Control Software. - For further information, search for Knowledge Base article How to Power Cycle the MiniSeq.

  • If the issue persists, contact Illumina Technical Support.

  • Note that this issue has been addressed in more current versions of the control software.
