# Troubleshooting "RunCopyService executable does not exist" error in MiniSeq Control Software 1.3.1

Users running MiniSeq Control Software Version 1.3.1 may see a message that the RunCopyService executable does not exist. This occurs if RunCopyService was not successfully installed with the Control Software.

**Troubleshooting steps**:

* Navigate to C:\Illumina\RunCopyService\\
* Verify that RunCopyService.exe exists in this location.
  * If the .exe file does not exist, reinstall RunCopyService through the MiniSeq System Suite Installer, available on the [Illumina MiniSeq Support Page](https://support.illumina.com/sequencing/sequencing_instruments/miniseq.html).
  * If the .exe file does exist, power cycle the instrument and re-initialize the Control Software.\

* If the issue persists, contact [Illumina Technical Support](https://www.illumina.com/company/contact-us.html#/united-states/technical-support).
* Note that this issue has been addressed in more current versions of the control software.
