# How to turn audio on or off on the iSeq 100?

**To turn instrument audio on or off:**

1. In the Control Software menu, select **System Settings**.
2. Select the **Customization** tab.
3. Choose whether or not to mute the system:
   1. To turn off the audio, select **Off**.
   2. To turn on the audio, select **On**.
4. Select **Save**.
5. To close System Settings, select **Exit**.
