What is the recommended input mass?
The TruSeq Stranded mRNA and TruSeq Stranded Total RNA are optimized for 0.1-1 µg of total RNA input.
Can the TruSeq Stranded RNA kits generate libraries from FFPE samples or only from high quality total RNA? The TruSeq Stranded mRNA kit supports high quality RNA (minimum RIN of 8) as input for sample prep as the protocol relies on a polyA tail purification step. The TruSeq Stranded Total RNA kit with both Ribo-Zero kit configurations (Human/Mouse/Rat and Gold) is compatible with FFPE samples.
