# Troubleshooting access to the path Global\Local Run Manager is denied on MiSeq

Users may encounter the error "Access to the path 'Global\Local Run Manager' is denied." while attempting to close or re-initialize the MiSeq Control Software.

This error may be the result of failing to power cycle the instrument after updating the log-on credentials on the instrument.

To resolve this error:

1. Power Cycle the instrument.
