A system check is not required for normal operation or instrument maintenance. Illumina Technical Support may request the system checks for troubleshooting pre-run check errors or other issues. The NextSeq 1000/2000 system check is comprised of four subsystem checks and takes about 58 minutes to complete. The tests confirm whether components are properly aligned and functional. Check results are output to the system-check
folder located in /usr/local/illumina/systemcheck.
Unload the cartridge before running system checks. Failure to remove the cartridge prior to starting a system check can damage to the system.
