# Run setup modes for the MiniSeq

**Windows 10 with Local Run Manager (LRM) v2**\
The run setup mode is selected after selecting Sequence on the home screen.**Local Run Manager Mode**

* Create the run in LRM and select the run from within the control software.
* Data can be uploaded to BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH), if desired.

**Standalone (Manual) Mode**

* Set up the run directly in the MiniSeq Control Software.
* Data can be uploaded to BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH), if a sample sheet is provided.

**Windows 7 with LRM v1**

Run Setup Modes are selected by navigating to Manage Instrument -> System Configuration.

**BaseSpace Mode**

* Create the run in BaseSpace Prep Tab.

**Local Run Manager Mode**

* Create the run in LRM and select the run from within the control software.
* Run cannot be uploaded to BSSH.

**Standalone (Manual) Mode**

* Set up the run in the control software.
* Run cannot be uploaded to BSSH.
