# How To Enable/Disable Illumina Proactive on iSeq 100

By connecting the instrument to Illumina Proactive, Illumina is alerted to failure risks before those risks affect a run. The Illumina Service and Support team analyzes instrument performance data, troubleshoots if needed, and works with users to schedule any required maintenance.

**To enable Proactive for iSeq 100 instruments operating on Control software v3.0 +:** \* From the menu on Home Screen, select **System Settings**.

* From the Settings Screen, there are two options "**Set Up Manually**" and "**Use Express Settings**" at the bottom of the page.

  \- Select the check box to "Turn on Illumina Proactive Support" and select **Next** at the bottom of the page.

  * Adjust the next settings for "Run Monitoring, Analysis, and Collaboration" and "Local Run Manager" if necessary. Once everything is set, proceed by selecting the **Next** option at the bottom of each page.

* The system saves the modifications. Once complete, select **Exit** at the bottom of the page.

To disable Proactive, select **"Set Up Manually"** and uncheck the box for "Turn on Illumina Proactive Support." Then, proceed with the same next steps as the Proactive activation.
