# Can an expired reagent cartridge be used for a MiSeq run?

The MiSeq Control Software displays a warning that loaded reagents are expired. The warning notification may be acknowledged, and the Control Software proceeds with the use of expired consumables.

Illumina cannot guarantee run performance when an expired reagent kit is used and, as such, reagent replacements cannot be provided if the run fails or does not meet Illumina specifications.
