# Troubleshooting NovaSeq 6000 failing to initialize control software at 94 95%

When a NovaSeq 6000 fails to initialize the Control Software at around 94-95%, collect the following files:

* NovaSeq Control Software Logs: C:\ProgramData\*\Illumina\NovaSeq\NovaSeq Control Software\Logs (zipped)
* NovaSeq Service Software Logs: C:\ProgramData\*\*\*\*\*\Illumina\NovaSeq\NovaSeq Service Software\Logs

\*The ProgramData folder may be hidden; to un-hide files, select the View tab in the file explorer window and make sure “Hidden items” is checked.

After collecting the logs, contact [Illumina Technical Support](https://www.illumina.com/company/contact-us.html#/united-states/technical-support) to determine the next steps.
