# Input types FAQ for Illumina DNA PCR Free libraries

**Are there any known inhibitors of the enzymes or reagents in the Illumina PCR-Free kit that should be avoided in the input material?**

**Can large amplicons be used as input for targeted sequencing?**\
This has not been tested.

**Does the Illumina PCR-Free kit work on single-stranded DNA input?**\
No, double-stranded DNA input is required.

**Can RNA be used as input?**\
No, Illumina DNA PCR-Free only works with double-stranded DNA input.

**Does the Illumina PCR-Free kit work on environmental DNA samples (Soil, water, etc.)?**\
This has not been tested.

**Can buccal swabs be used for the Illumina PCR-Free kit?**\
This has not been tested.

**Can non-human gDNA input be used, such as bacterial DNA?**
