Troubleshooting a CavroSyringePump Error on the NextSeq 500/550
Background This error is often due to a communication issue on the instrument. However, it can also result from an issue with the fluidics system on the NextSeq 500/550. * "An error occurred while sequencing. Will now proceed to determining whether to perform a post-run wash. Originally caused by: Error in Fluidics.FlowCellFluidics1.LanePump.IXPassThroughCavroSyringePump2. Auto syringe overload recovery for dispense is not enabled."
Troubleshooting steps:
Upon run completion, power cycle the instrument and verify the initialization completes without errors.
From the instrument home screen, select Manage Instrument.
Select System Shut down Options.
Select Shut Down (this shuts down the software and turns off instrument power).
Wait two minutes before turning on the instrument from the button in front.
Wait for software initialization back to the Home Screen.
If the system fails to initialize, contact Illumina Technical Support for additional assistance.
Should the system initialize without error, perform a System Check to verify the function of the fluidics system. Reference article How to perform a NextSeq 500/550 system check.
If the system check fails the Volume tests, contact Illumina Technical Support for additional assistance.
If the checks pass, perform a Manual Post-Run Wash before setting up the next run. Reference article How to perform washes on the NextSeq 500/550.
If additional errors occur during the wash, contact Illumina Technical Support for additional assistance.
