How to use the Log Bundler Lite application on NovaSeq X Series

Background

The Log Bundler Lite tool is an application that is installed with the NovaSeq X Series Control Software version 1.3 and above that allows the seamless collection of log files on the instrument in a single action.

When running the tool, it automatically collects the Run Setup, Control Software, Service Software, EdgeOS, UCS logs, and the Linux OS logs. Log Bundler Lite does not collect any sequencing run data or logs, these will need to be collected separately if required.

Using the Log Bundler Lite Application

1. If the Control Software is open, select the instrument icon to open the Brilliance menu, then select Settings and then Minimize Application.

2. From the Linux Operating System (OS) desktop, select the Activities in the top left corner, and then select the Log Bundler icon (Figure 1).

3. Input the ilmnadmin password and select Enter.

4. Allow the Tool to collect the logs, approximately 2-3 minutes (Figure 2).

5. When complete the files will be located in /home/[user]/Downloads where [user] is the currently logged in user (Figure 3).

6. Once collected, contact Illumina Tech Support for assistance with uploading the files to Illumina Support teams.
