Estimated time for sequencing steps on the MiniSeq

Cluster generation

• Approximately 90 minutes.

Paired-end turnaround chemistry

• Approximately 60 minutes.

• Paired-end turnaround is performed between the index reads (after Index read 1 (i7 index read)).

  • If there are no index reads, paired-end turnaround occurs after insert Read 1 completes.

Cycle times

• 3.5-4.5 minutes per cycle.

Washes

• Manual quick wash: 20 minutes.

• Post-run wash and manual post-run wash: 75 minutes.

Reagent purge

• A full kit purge takes 4.5 hours.

• The length of the purge after a run will depend on the number of cycles in the sequencing run and the size of the kit used.

• If a run stops with an error, the user will be given an option to purge reagents before the post-run wash.

• Reagent purging is optional.
