# Estimated time for sequencing steps on the MiniSeq

**Cluster generation**

* Approximately 90 minutes.

**Paired-end turnaround chemistry**

* Approximately 60 minutes.
* Paired-end turnaround is performed between the index reads (after Index read 1 (i7 index read)).
  * If there are no index reads, paired-end turnaround occurs after insert Read 1 completes.

**Cycle times**

* 3.5-4.5 minutes per cycle.

**Washes**

* Manual quick wash: 20 minutes.
* Post-run wash and manual post-run wash: 75 minutes.

**Reagent purge**

* A full kit purge takes 4.5 hours.
* The length of the purge after a run will depend on the number of cycles in the sequencing run and the size of the kit used.
* If a run stops with an error, the user will be given an option to purge reagents before the post-run wash.
* Reagent purging is optional.
