Troubleshooting 'Lane Pump not initialized' fluidics related error on the NextSeq 500/550

Background

This error indicates an issue with the fluidics system and can occur at anytime (eg, during initialization, washes, pre-run checks, or during sequencing runs). The error may result from a communication issue between the hardware and software, or from an issue with the syringe pump itself.

Error text:

"Error in Fluidics.FlowCellFluidics1.LanePump. Device not initialized. Command = 'Q', reply = '7'"

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Power cycle the NextSeq 500/550 following the steps outlined in How to Power Cycle the NextSeq 500/550

2. If the instrument initializes successfully, complete a Quick Wash as per instructions in How to perform washes on the NextSeq 500/550

3. If the wash completes without errors, set up the next run on the instrument.
