# Can a MiSeq post run wash be performed every week instead of entering standby mode?

The MiSeq will prompt the user to enter standby mode if the fluidics are idle for 7 days. If a sequencing run or any wash type is performed, this resets the 7 day clock. Performing a post-run wash every week, as opposed to going into standby mode, is compliant with the system guide.
