How to Share BaseSpace Microarray Project Data

Project sharing allows a user to share files with collaborators outside their Workgroup or with Illumina Technical Support for troubleshooting purposes. To share a Microarray project on BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH), the Workgroup must be configured as Collaborative Workgroup during setup.

Use the following steps to generate a shareable link for the project. Once the link is activated, anyone with the link can access the project and its contents. All files associated with the project are shared through the link.

Share a Project Using the Get Link Option

  1. Log into the BaseSpace Private Domain.

  2. Select the appropriate Workgroup context. The active Workgroup name appears in the upper right corner of the interface.

  3. Navigate to the Projects tab.

  4. Select the button next to the desired project name to be shared.

  5. Select the Share button above the list .

  6. Select the Get Link option to activate a shareable link for the project.

  1. Copy the generated link and send it to the intended recipient(s).

Note: The project owner retains ownership of the project and maintains write access to the shared data. If project owner deletes the project or its data, collaborators will lose access to the shared contents.
