# How to obtain a NextSeq 1000/2000 v2 sample sheet?

A v2 sample sheet can be obtained from one of the following options.

* A v2 sample sheet can be created in BaseSpace using Run Planning, with the following steps.
  * In BaseSpace Sequence Hub, select the **Runs** tab > **New Run** > **Run Planning** > **Local Mode** > **Export Sample Sheet**.
  * For this option, all sample and index information is entered in Run Planning, and is included in the exported v2 sample sheet.
* A v2 Sample sheet template is available for download [here](https://help.connected.illumina.com/run-set-up/overview).
  * Follow the guidance in the [Sample Sheet v2 Resources](https://support-docs.illumina.com/IN/NextSeq10002000/Content/SHARE/SampleSheetv2/ResourcesRefSSV2PDF.htm) NextSeq 1000/2000 Settings.
