NextSeq 1000/2000 users may see the following error appear on a black screen.
"Failed to send WATCHDOG=1 notification message: Transport endpoint is not connected"
This message is typically indicative that there are files being transferred while a user is attempting to perform another process that would affect that transfer. This can be resolved with a slow power cycle of the instrument.
How to Power Cycle the NextSeq 1000/2000
In the control software, open the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) and select Shutdown Instrument.
Once the instrument is off, toggle the power switch to the OFF position.
Wait a minimum of 5 minutes with the instrument powered completely off.
Toggle the power switch to the ON position.
Once the power button on the front right of the instrument is pulsing with light, press it.
