# MiSeq Flow cell compatibility for v2 and v3 reagent kits

The standard MiSeq flow cells are identical in MiSeq v2 and MiSeq v3 sequencing kits.

* If needed, a flow cell from a MiSeq v2 kit can be used with a MiSeq v3 cartridge, or a flow cell from a MiSeq v3 kit can be used with a MiSeq v2 reagent cartridge.
* **Note:** Micro and Nano flow cells are **only** compatible with v2 reagent cartridges.
