# Troubleshooting install package integrity check failed during NextSeq 1000/2000 upgrade to v1.7
The NextSeq 1000/2000 Control Software upgrade requires admin access. The "install package integrity check failed" error will occur if the upgrade is being attempted from an account that does not have admin privileges. To successfully update the control software:
1. Select the Power button in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. Navigate to the listed user and choose logout.
3. Login as ilmnadmin or other admin account.
Once logged in with an account with proper access, the control software upgrade will be able to proceed as expected.
