# User accounts for the iSeq 100

The iSeq 100 has two user accounts by default: **sbsadmin** and **sbsuser**.

As indicated during the first-time setup, the default password for both accounts is **iSeqSequencer**. Change the password immediately after logging into either account.

If the non-default password has been forgotten and is non-recoverable, restoring the instrument to factory settings is required to reset the passwords. For further information, search for Knowledge Base article **Restore to Factory Settings Option on iSeq 100**.

If a factory reset is performed, new passwords will be required for both user accounts. The prompt for the new passwords will come up after the control software installation is completed and power cycle is performed. For further information, search for Knowledge Base article **Power cycling the iSeq 100.**
