Troubleshooting Inaccurate Estimated Completion Time on the MiSeq i100 Series
Background
The MiSeq i100 Series instrument uses data from previous sequencing runs to provide an accurate estimated time to completion for ongoing sequencing runs. Generally the estimated time is accurate to within an hour, and becomes increasingly accurate as the instrument collects data from completed sequencing runs.
If the estimated time to completion is off by more than an hour after completing more than 5 sequencing runs, see the following Troubleshooting Actions.
Troubleshooting Actions
Log into the Control Software as an Administrator user.
Select the dropdown menu in the top-left corner, then select Settings.
Select Time settings.
Use the Time zone dropdown menu to select the correct local time zone.
[Optional] Input the local Network Time Protocol (NTP) address.
This is only required if local network settings prevent the instrument from accessing the internet and a local NTP server has been configured. Consult the local IT team for additional assistance.
Select Save.
If the estimated time to completion is not corrected after the next sequencing run, contact Illumina Tech Support.
