Run listed as Uploading to Network or BaseSpace on the NovaSeq 6000
Universal Copy Service (UCS) is responsible for uploading a run to either the network drive or to BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH). If a run is stuck in uploading even though it is completed on the instrument, it is likely due to a network connection issue.
To troubleshoot this, follow the steps below.
If a run is in progress, close and reopen the Process Management tab to refresh the status.
If a run is not in progress, power cycle the instrument and re-open the Process Management tab to see if the status changes.
For more information, search for Knowledge Base article How to Power Cycle the NovaSeq 6000 System.
If the issue persists after the power cycle,
For run transfers to a network drive: - Confirm that the network drive is mounted and connected. Reconnect if the network drive is disconnected and refresh the Process Management page in NovaSeq Control Software. - NOTE: If the network cannot be brought back up, run data can be manually copied from the CE Z: drive location (Z:\outputfolder[run folder]), using the USB3 port to an external hard drive.
For run transfers to BaseSpace: - Confirm internet connection has not been interrupted. - Confirm internet upload speed (a minimum of 200 MB/s is required per Instrument/System for BSSH upload). Slower speeds may prevent successful uploads.
If the network drive is connected and the internet connection is uninterrupted, stop and restart Universal Copy Service. For more information, search for Knowledge Base article How to stop and restart Universal Copy Service manually on the NovaSeq 6000.
