# What read length and coverage depth should be used for the Urinary Pathogen ID/AMR Panel?

[Urinary Pathogen ID/AMR Panel reference protocol lists](https://support.illumina.com/sequencing/sequencing_kits/urinary-pathogen-id-amr-panel/documentation.html) recommendations for sequencing read length and starting loading concentration. Depending on the consumable kit used, Illumina recommends targeting **1 million reads per sample** and a **read length of 1x100 or 1x150 cycles**. Labs can further adjust the sequencing configuration and coverage if desired.
