All reagent cartridges contain reagent-adjacent empty wells for the post-run wash.
Cluster cartridge
Every other row in the cartridge is a WASH row. So Well 1 on the cartridge is the wash well for the reagent in well 5 (custom primer 1), etc.
A denaturation reagent in position #30 contains formamide, which is an organic amide and reproductive toxin.
To facilitate safe disposal of any unused reagent after the sequencing run, this reservoir is removable.
Do not stack cluster cartridges, as this can dislodge formamide position.
Position 17: 0.24% NaOCl
Positions 5-7: custom primer positions
If using, specify during run setup, use HT1 to dilute
Position 5: Custom read 1 primer
Position 6: Custom read 2 primer
Position 7: Custom Index 1 primer and Custom Index 2 (for v1.5 kits)
Positions 24, 13, 23: Illumina primer positions
Position 24: Illumina read 1 primer
Position 13: Illumina read 2 primer
Position 23: Illumina index 1 and index 2 primers
SBS cartridge
Buffer cartridge
Weighs up to 15 lbs (6.8 kg).
Wash buffers are pumped through lines to wash after each reagent pull or imaging cycle.
