# Guidance regarding light seen from the DRAGEN v4 power supply when an unstable power cord is used

Users of DRAGEN v4 servers may notice a bright light when the power cord for the server power supply is shaken during use; an example is shown below.

This light is from the surge absorber within the power supply when the AC power cord connection is unstable.

The surge absorber converts high-voltage surges into light energy and releases it. While the light may be mistaken for sparks or an arc, this discharge phenomenon is normal and does not pose any danger to users.

Since this light only appears when the power cord is not properly connected to the server power supply, it is critical to make sure the AC power cord is securely connected before supplying AC power for normal operation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.illumina.com/software/on-premises-software/software-on-premises-software-troubleshooting-list/000009610.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
