How to change passwords for the Control Software accounts on the NovaSeq X/X Plus Instrument

Administrators can reset passwords at any time. Users can only reset the administrator password when prompted by a password expiration notification. When an administrator resets a password for a user account, the user can sign in using the generated temporary password.

To reset a user password:

  1. Initialize the Control Software and log in to an admin user account.

  2. Select the instrument icon to open the global navigation menu.

  3. Select Settings, and then select Users.

  4. Select the user to edit.

  5. Select Reset password. The user enters a new password the next time they sign in.

  6. Select Save when finished.
