# How to Replace a NextSeq 500/550 Air Filter

On newer versions of NextSeq 500/550 instruments and on older instruments receiving an air filter retrofit, the instrument will send a notification to change the air filter every 90 days. This can be replaced by the user and it is their responsibility to replace air filters due to being part of the maintenance.
