Troubleshooting Cavro Pump Error on MiSeq

A Cavro Pump error can result from an issue with the instrument hardware or communication errors on the MiSeq. Potential hardware related causes include pump, pump controller, or syringe failure.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Power cycle\* the MiSeq. (Note: If a run is in progress, it will not be able to be resumed.)

  2. If there are no issues with re-initialization:

  • Perform post-run wash to ensure fluidics is operating normally.

  • Optionally, perform a volume test within the system check.

  1. If the instrument fails to initialize or there is an error completing the wash, contact Illumina Technical Support for further assistance.
