# What are the power specifications for the MiSeq?

The line voltage for the MiSeq is 100-240 Volts AC at 50/60 Hz. The power consumption on the MiSeq is 400 Watts.

An electrical ground is required to run the instrument. If the voltage fluctuates more than 10% in the lab, a power line regulator is also required.

For more lab environment considerations, see the [MiSeq Site Prep Guide](https://support.illumina.com/downloads/miseq_site_prep_guide_15027615.html).
