Illumina has released the Illumina Tagment DNA Enzyme and Buffer Small Kit and Large Kit to provide the Nextera DNA Tagment DNA Enzyme (TDE1) and the Tagment DNA buffer (TD) as standalone reagents.
The Illumina Tagment DNA Enzyme and Buffer kits are used for numerous applications, such as ATAC-seq and other custom protocols. As a note, these protocols were not developed or validated by Illumina, therefore customers need to do their own validation.
Table 1: Kit contents and volumes
Note: TDE1 and TD are the same reagents previously included in the discontinued Nextera DNA library preparation kits (catalog numbers FC-121-1031 and FC-121-1030) .
Illumina provides volumes for these reagents, instead of reaction numbers, because different custom protocols may utilize different reagent volumes per sample.
The Illumina Tagment DNA Enzyme and Buffer kits do not contain all the reagents needed to generate complete libraries compatible with Illumina sequencing systems. Other reagents, such as PCR master mixes, index primers, and purification beads need to be purchased separately.
