# Index content for the TruSeq DNA and TruSeq RNA Single Index kits, Sets A and B

TruSeq DNA and RNA single indexes are purchased separately from library prep reagents\*. The following table lists the content of these index kits.

\*Exceptions include TruSeq RNA Library Prep Kit v2 and TruSeq RNA Exome. TruSeq Single Indexes are bundled with these library preparation kits.

Additional information regarding the TruSeq Single Index kits:

* **Reactions per TruSeq DNA Single Indexes** **kit:** Each set contains 12 unique indexes that can be used to prepare a total of 24 libraries. Each index can be used twice.
* **Reactions per TruSeq RNA Single Indexes** **kit:** Each set contains 12 unique indexes that can be used to prepare a total of 48 libraries. Each index can be used four times.
* **Shipping and storage conditions:** Single index kits are shipped on dry ice and must be stored at -25°C to -15°C upon receipt.
* **Methylation status**: TruSeq single indexes are methylated and are suitable for bisulfite sequencing applications.
* **Index sequences:** Index sequences are found in the [Illumina Adapter Sequences](https://support.illumina.com/downloads/illumina-adapter-sequences-document-1000000002694.html) document.
* **Pooling:** Low-plexity pooling guidelines are found in the [Index Adapters Pooling Guide](https://support.illumina.com/downloads/index-adapters-pooling-guide-1000000041074.html).
