# How to dispose of a NextSeq 1000/2000 flow cell?

The NextSeq 1000/2000 flow cell is considered non-hazardous solid waste and contains electronic components. Verify with a local or institutional Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) office for specific guidance for non-hazardous electronic waste disposal; Illumina does not provide these recommendations.

See the [NextSeq 1000/2000 Product Documentation](https://support.illumina.com/downloads/nextseq-1000-2000-product-documentation-200027171.html) for more information.

**Note:** There is no Safety Data Sheet (SDS) available for the NextSeq 1000/2000 flow cell; Illumina only offers [SDS](https://support.illumina.com/sds.html) for the reagent kits.
