How to restart Universal Copy Service when a run is stuck uploading to BaseSpace Sequence Hub

The following are instructions on how to restart Universal Copy Service (UCS) when a run has completed successfully on a windows instrument but data is stuck or stalled in an "Uploading" state in BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH).

These instructions are relevant to Windows Instruments that run Universal Copy Service Only.
Restarting Universal Copy Service can restart the copy process to BaseSpace.
This can be done by performing a power cycle on the instrument or following the instructions provided below.

To Manually Stop and Start Universal Copy Service:

Close Instrument Control Software.
Open Task Manager as "administrator" by searching for Task Manager in the Windows Search bar, right clicking on "Task Manager", and selecting "Run as administrator"
1. If the instrument is logged in as a user account, it will prompt for the admin credentials login.
Stop Universal Copy Service in Task Manager by right clicking on ucs (can sometimes be found as ucs.exe or universal-copy-service) and selecting "End task"
Restart Universal Copy Service in one of the following ways:
1. Power Cycle the instrument.
2. For Windows Benchtop instruments (iSeq 100, MiniSeq, MiSeq, and NextSeq 500/550), navigate to the "Services" tab of Task Manager (with it still open as an administrator), Right click on Universal Copy Service, and select "Start"
3. For NovaSeq 6000, opening the control software will start UCS or navigate to C:\Program Files\Illumina\UniversalCopyService then select the ucs.exe (sometimes listed as universal-copy-service.exe) executable to restart the service.
When Universal Copy Service is restarted it can restart the upload process to BSSH. When all files have completed upload, the run state will change from 'Uploading' to 'Pending Analysis.'
