# How to view files from Illumina BioInsight Platform Core in Integrative Genomics Viewer

1. Install and authenticate the Illumina BioInsight Platform Core (Platform Core, formerly, Illumina Connected Analytics (ICA)) command line interface (CLI) to the Platform Core domain containing the files. [Instructions for setting up Illumina BioInsight Platform Core CLI](https://help.ica.illumina.com/command-line-interface/cli-installation)

* **Note**: commands retain Illumina Connected Analytics (ICA) naming.

2. Find the file URL on Platform Core using the following CLI command:

```
icav2 projectdata downloadurl <file-ID> --project-id=<project-ID>  
```

* The \<project-ID> can be retrieved either by using the Platform Core CLI command: `icav2 projects list`, or by entering the Platform Core project via the web browser, where the project ID can be found in the URL for the project (eg, <https://ica.illumina.com/ica/projects/**\\><project-ID>\*\*/data).
* The \<file-ID> can be retrieved by navigating to the file in Platform Core in a web browser, where the file ID can be found under the Data details section:\

3. Open Integrative Genomics Viewer (IGV) and navigate to File > Load from URL.

4. Paste the file URL from the Platform Core CLI output to the File URL section then select OK.

**Note**: If loading in a BAM file, make sure to also generate and paste in the URL for the corresponding BAM.BAI file

5. The file can now be viewable within IGV.
