# How to Add a User to Illumina Connected Multiomics Domain and Workgroup

**Step 1: Invite the User to the ICM Domain**

1. A user with a domain admin account will need to add users from the **Admin Console** tab. To access Admin Console without going through a workgroup, use the following link, with the domain placeholder updated: [https://.login.illumina.com/iam/](https://domain.login.illumina.com/iam/) and navigate to the **Admin** tab ![](/files/vWtROhjnPQN66W4siAPr)
2. Inside the Admin tab, click on the **DOMAIN** tab on the top of the *Admin Console* dialog. Navigate to **USER MANAGEMENT** on the left panel. Ensure that the user that is intended to be added is included in the Allowed Emails either by:

* Adding the user's email domain to the **Allowed Email Suffixes**, or
* Explicitly specifying the user's email in the **Allowed Emails** section.

**Note:** If the domain admin chooses to add an email suffix, *any* user with that email suffix will be able to register under the domain (without receiving a domain invitation).

3. Click the **Domain Invitation** tab and type in the e-mail address of the user the domain admin wish to invite to the domain, then click **Invite**.

4. The added user will receive an email and should follow the instructions in the invitation to register an account under the domain. Advise users to log out of other platforms in the public domain (such as BaseSpace Basic or Professional accounts) when completing this step.

Note: The domain administrator can verify the successful registration of the invited user in the Admin Console. Click on the **DOMAIN** tab on the top of the dialog, select **USER MANAGEMENT** on the left panel, click **Users** tab on the *User Management* page. Click **Manage** button. The user state information will be displayed at the bottom of the page.

**Step 2: Invite the User to the ICM Workgroup**

1. Domain or workgroup admin can add users to the ICM workgroup. From the Admin Console, go to the **WORKGROUPS** tab and click on the ICM workgroup. Navigate to USERS on the left panel and click on **Invite**.
2. Type in the user's email and specify Illumina Connected Multiomics **Product access**. Click **Grant Access**.

The user will receive an email that they are added to workgroup

**Step 3: Assign the User an ICM subscription Seat**

After adding the user to the ICM domain and workgroup, a domain admin will need to assign the user’s email to the ICM subscription to allow access.

1. Navigate to **Subscriptions** and click on **Assign** under **Emails** of ICM Subscription
2. Type in the user email. If an email is already assigned to the ICM subscription, the domain admin can remove the pre-existing email and add the user's email by clicking on the (x).

Please note that the subscription seat for ICM is designed to rotate between users.
