# Instructions on how to access and use the Arrays Finder tool

The updated Arrays Finder tool can be found in the Illumina DesignStudio Microarray, which can be accessed by users via their [MyIllumina account](https://my.illumina.com/welcome), to search which Illumina's commercial arrays contain their SNPs of interest.

The Arrays Finder tool enables users to search a design target list against Illumina's commercial array database (not custom or semi-custom arrays) to determine which array best provides the content they need.

**Step-by-step instructions on how to access and use the Arrays Finder tool:**

* Log in to [MyIllumina](https://my.illumina.com/welcome), hover over the "waffle menu" (marked red below), then select "Microarray Assay Designer":

* In the Microarray Assay Designer, select the "Arrays Finder" on the top right corner:

* Select a species (for eg, Human0, then click "Next":

* Provide the rsIDs or the Genomic Locations of the SNPs of interest using one of the following options:

1. Enter the rsIDs or Genomic Locations directly into the available boxes. Users can paste multiple numbers into the search field, separated by commas and without free spaces in-between. If searching for rsIDs, use the "Variant IDs" box. Alternatively, if searching for a locus that is not a known target, use the "Genomic locations" search:

2. Upload the csv file containing the rsIDs or the Genomic Locations of the SNPs of interest. In this case, slide the button for "Upload a file”. The “Download template” and “Upload file” options will appear. Download the template, modify it by entering the names or locations of SNPs of interest, and save it as .csv format.

Browse to the file location and upload the .csv file into the Arrays Finder:

* The .csv file should be formatted as follows:

  ![](/files/d4qEhJ5VroxgrwUO9zOO)
* When the search is complete, users land on a summary page which shows overlapping targets between the user input and Illumina's commercial arrays. Users can select “Export summary”, or alternatively get details like the target build that was used by clicking "Export details" button:

* Use the “Sort by” button to change the order in which the results are sorted:
