# What size fragments of DNA are generated after the Fragment DNA step of the Infinium Assay?

Addition of the FMS reagent to the MSA plate results in endpoint fragmentation of the amplified DNA. The DNA is cleaved into fragments of optimal length for hybridization to the Infinium array. The controlled enzymatic process cleaves DNA into segments of 300 to 600 base pairs.
