How to download and install DRAGEN Array software for Local Analysis
DRAGEN (Dynamic Read Analysis for GENomics) Array is a secondary bioinformatics analysis tool for Illumina Infinium assays. It is available as both a local package with a command-line interface and a cloud-based package with a graphical user interface (GUI).
Downloading the DRAGEN Array installer:
Navigate to the DRAGEN Array Secondary Analysis Software Downloads page on the Illumina website (Figure 1), and click the appropriate DRAGEN Array Installer link for either Linux or Windows.

Log in with a MyIllumina account. If an account is not available, select Sign up and follow the prompts to create a new account (Figure 2).

Note: If user has already signed up and has one or more domains associated with their MyIllumina account, select the appropriate domain (Figure 3), Then, select Accounts to proceed.

Enter an Illumina customer number or the serial number of an Illumina instrument (Figure 4).

Browse to the desired location on the computer to download/save the installer:

Installation of DRAGEN Array software
This section provides examples of the installation process on a Windows system. For detailed instructions on installing DRAGEN Array Local on Linux systems, refer to the DRAGEN Array Local Analysis Installation guide.
Once the download is complete, move the DRAGEN Array installation package to the desired folder. Administrative permissions may be required when installing to system directories, such as /usr/local/bin on Linux or C:\Program Files on Windows.
Unzip and extract the package. The executable (dragena.exe) is located in the dragena subfolder of the installation package (Figure 6).

When the dragena.exe executable is launched from the folder where it was saved, a Command Prompt (cmd) window may briefly open and close within a few seconds. This occurs quickly and may not be visible to the user.

To verify that the files were installed correctly, open a Command Prompt in the dragena folder by typing cmd in the File Explorer address bar and pressing Enter (Figure 8A).
In the Command Prompt window, enter the following command: dragena version and press Enter.
The command returns the installed DRAGEN Array CLI version. For example, DRAGEN Array CLI 1.4.0+9b051a4be2c6ade41bfa804c3bccc41cdbdc1c5b (Figure 8B).

Notes:
DRAGEN Array Local Analysis software does not include a graphical user interface (GUI); it is a command-line interface (CLI) application. Users who are new to working with CLI applications may refer to DRAGEN Array Tips for using the Command-line interface for additional guidance.
When running DRAGEN Array Local on Windows systems, users will need to open the Command Prompt (cmd) or PowerShell. This can be either done as described above, or by pressing Win + R, type cmd into the Run dialogue box, and press Enter.

Alternatively, open Command Prompt by entering "cmd" or "Command Prompt" in the Windows taskbar search box and selecting the application from the displayed results.
